Madrid, October 1, 2026.– DuckDik, a Spanish wellness technology company, has closed out its first months on the market adding roughly a thousand new users a month across five European countries. The company, co-founded by Alberto Lorente, launched its health line in July 2026 and currently sells DuckDik Sense, a screen-free, subscription-free wristband paired with its own app that explains to the user, in their own language, what is happening in their body and what they can do about it today.
The health wearables market is dominated by major tech companies such as Apple, Google, Samsung, Xiaomi and Huawei, while more and more leading brands are turning to monthly fees for access to their analysis. DuckDik enters this market with a different approach: removing the screen, eliminating the subscription and putting the value in interpreting the data.
"Measuring is easy. The hard part is turning all that data into something a person can understand and use. Our product isn't the sensor: it's telling you what's happening in your body and what you can do about it today."
A wristband built for everyday life
DuckDik designs its own wristband, manufactured by an industrial partner to its specifications.
DuckDik Sense is designed for the general public: people who want to take care of themselves day to day without needing to be athletes, to understand how they sleep and how they manage stress, and to do so without constantly having to keep track of another device.
Among the aspects users highlight most in their reviews are its battery life of up to 45 days on a single charge, how lightweight it is — "you barely notice it" — a simple app that interprets the data for them, and good value for money with no fees. Because it has no screen, many users also wear it on their other wrist, alongside their regular watch.
Day to day, Sense explains to each person how they slept and why, their energy level, whether they should keep up the pace or ease off, and how stress is affecting them, backing that information up with concrete advice for that same day.
Screen-free: a trend gaining ground
Screen-free health wristbands have become one of the sector's key trends. More and more brands, including Google with Fitbit Air, Polar, Garmin and Amazfit, have launched their own screen-free models, a format DuckDik has chosen for Sense from day one.
Doing without a screen has clear advantages for the user. The wristband doesn't demand attention with alerts or constant numbers, which helps people disconnect and avoid the anxiety of checking their wrist all the time. It is lighter and more comfortable, can be worn day and night without lights disturbing sleep, and goes unnoticed — to the point that many users pair it with their regular watch. And because it doesn't need to power a screen, its battery lasts up to 45 days on a single charge.
The information doesn't disappear: users check it whenever they want, in the app, and it comes with an explanation of what it means and what they can do about it.
An app that doesn't just measure: it acts
DuckDik Sense is powered by DuckDik Health, an app with an AI coach that talks to the user in their own language, explains what's going on, proposes a training or rest plan, and adjusts it together with them.
The app is available in ten languages, including Spanish, Catalan, Valencian, Galician and Basque.
Growing by listening
DuckDik has opted for a deliberately measured launch. In this first phase, the company is focusing its efforts on spotting potential issues, talking directly with its customers and gathering their feedback to improve the product before accelerating growth.
App improvements are released on an ongoing basis and, in many cases, arrive within days of a user reporting an issue.
"We're competing with companies that have thousands of engineers. We're not going to beat them on size, so we beat them on closeness: someone tells us about a problem on Tuesday and the fix is live on Wednesday. That's why we've decided to grow at a prudent pace, around a thousand new users a month, with customers front and center."
